Your Windows XP installation could not perform a file system operation required for MozyHome to properly back up open and/or locked files.

What you can do:

First, reboot your computer. If the error persists, make sure you're running the latest version of MozyHome. You can download it at http://mozy.com/downloads/mozysetup.exe.

If you are already running the latest version of MozyHome:

  1. Click your Windows Start menu, open up Settings, and then the Control Panel.
  2. Open Administrative Tools.
  3. Open Services.
  4. Right-click on the MozyHome Service, and open Properties.
  5. Select the "Log On" tab, and then select the "Local System account" radio button.
  6. Click "OK."

This will most likely fix the problem. However, if the error persists, here's the next step you can take to help us figure out what's wrong:

  1. Download http://mozy.com/downloads/VolumeInfo.exe
  2. Download http://mozy.com/downloads/getinfo.cmd
  3. Run VolumeInfo.exe
  4. Run getinfo.cmd

Send us an email at homesupport@mozy.com and include the “mozysupport.cab” and/or “mozyhomesupport.cab” file(s) from the folder that pops up. Please also include “c:\volumeinfo.log” so we can help you as quickly as possible.

You can also try going into your options in MozyHome Config and turning off the "Support for backing up open files" option.
