We all know someone who went overboard with Y2K and built some sort of makeshift fallout shelter full of analog communication equipment and a year's provisions for a family of six. Or maybe we don't, but it's still fun to laugh at them. Anyway, Y2K came and went without any sign of the apocalypse and took with it the dignity of many staunch believers.
