Firewall Help: McAfee Security Center
| Open McAfee Security Center (MSC) by double clicking on the MSC icon in the Windows icon tray (usually the bottom right-hand corner of your screen). | ![]() |
| MSC will open with a configuration screen where you may access the Personal Firewall Plus settings in addition to other MSC settings. To configure Personal Firewall Plus for Mozy, select Personal Firewall Plus (1). | ![]() |
| Next, select the option to View the Internet Applications List (2). | ![]() |
| With the Internet Applications screen open now, select the option, New Allowed Application (3). | ![]() |
| When the Select Application to Allow screen appears, by default MSC will have the Program Files folder open. If during Mozy installation you installed Mozy to the default location, you will find the Mozy folder within the Program Files folder. If you installed Mozy in a different location, you will need to browse to that location. Double click or open the Mozy folder (4). In the Mozy folder, select MozyBackup.exe (5) and press Open (6). |
![]() |
| You will now be returned to the Internet Applications screen. Notice that Mozy Backup Service has a Permissions status of Allow Full Access (7). Notice also that Mozy Configuration should also be listed with a status of Allow Full Access (7). If it is not listed or its status is something else, you will need to repeat the firewall setup process for the MozyConfig.exe file. |

| When Mozy Backup Service and Mozy Configuration are both in the Internet Applications list with a status of Allow Full Access, you may exit the MSC configuration. Mozy should work with MSC now. |
